Garb-Oil & Power Corporation (OTCBB:GARB) announces the retirement, at the age of 87, of Mr. John C. Brewer from all operating roles in Garb-Oil & Power Corporation including Chairman of the Board and CEO. Mr. John C. Brewer, founder of Garb, has served as Chairman and CEO for over 37 years. Mr. Brewer will remain as Director on the Board and Special Advisor to the company.
Mr. Brewer has contributed to the growth of Garb through his continuous development of machines and processes aimed at promoting efficiency and productivity throughout the industry. Mr. Brewer was personally responsible for inventing and patenting the first tire shredder in the world. He was also the first person to patent a shredder capable of handling Off The Road (OTR) tires and
has 40 patents in Waste disposal Machinery and Processes.
Mr. Brewer’s achievements his long commitment and involvement with the company, has guaranteed the standing of Garb has a respected company in both national and international markets. His leadership throughout the 37 years was an important factor in the prospering and growth of Garb.
Mr. Brewer is keen to leave space to a new generation of managers equally committed to Mr. Brewer’s instilled company values of integrity and fair play and to the traditions of innovation, development and growth that have been Garb’s strength over the years.
Mr. Brewer will stay on as Acting Chairman until the Board chooses a new Chairman next week. The current Board of Directors has nominated Mr. John Rossi to take over as CEO of Garb-Oil & Power Corporation effective immediately.
Mr. Rossi will continue to reinforce the values of integrity and fair play that are the main stay of Garb’s strength while focusing the company on growth and innovation.
